The Information Highway
The Internet is an information super highway. Messages move across this highway at breakneck speeds. It is almost impossible for one to keep up with such levels of daily bombardment of our human brains. Human beings cannot compete with the internet as a carrier of information and we are forced to prioritise both in terms of capacity and time available to process such information.
It becomes necessary for some people to focus on the area best suited to their interest and objectives, hence information is sorted according to categories in order to screen such messages according to user preferences. Some people go on the internet to read news about what is happening around the world, others go on to engage in business activities, yet others look for entertainment. We are all logging on at the same time but in pursuit of different stuff, hence it is necessary to focus our attention on what we are looking for, lest we forget and get carried away by the floods of the super highway.
One day, I went on the internet looking for information on business opportunities but as I clicked away at my mouse, I was shocked to find that after about half an hour,I had not found what I wanted but was now engrossed somewhere else, reading and relishing information totally unrelated to what I had been looking for. such is the risk of gettting lost on the internet. This information highway does not have traffic signs or regulatory signs , neither is the lighting sufficient and it is easy for one to get lost.
My "Observations Everyday" comes in handy as it searches the internet and pools out interesting pieces from all corners of the internet and flashes them on the screen, for those who might have passed without noticing them, or even bypassed them in their search for information on the internet super highway.
